Three Portraits [premier]
Three Portraits is a world premier inspired by the curation of the Women Painting Women exhibition at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. A work in three movements based off of Farber’s imagined world interpreted from Marilyn Minter’s Red Flare, Alex Heilbron’s Labor of Thought, and Lorna Simpson’s Black Darkness.

Meet the Dancers

Hannah Wood
Hannah Wood is originally from Alpharetta, Georgia and received her dance training from North Atlanta Dance Academy, the Harid Conservatory, and Houston Ballet. She has been dancing professionally in DFW for seven years.

Amanda Fairweather
Amanda Fairweather is originally from Orange, California, where she began training at the Academy of Dance, later attending SUNY Purchase College dance program where she graduated cum laude. She has been dancing professionally in DFW for eleven years.

Joamanuel Velazquez
Joamanuel Velazquez is from Bayamon, Puerto Rico, where he began his training with Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico. He has been a professional dancer of DFW since 2007.

Rayleigh Vendt
Rayleigh Vendt grew up in Coppell, Texas and received her dance training from Ballet Academy of Texas. She has danced with Cincinnati Ballet, Ballet Austin, and Oklahoma City Ballet, and returned in 2020 to dance in DFW once again.

Rieko Hatato
Originally from Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya, Japan, Rieko Hatato trained at Yoko Tsukamoto Theater de Ballet Academy. She began her professional career with Arts Ballet Theater of Florida. She has been dancing in DFW since 2018.

Dara Oda
Dara Oda is from Naperville, Illinois where she trained at DanceWest Ballet before completing her BFA in dance from Belhaven University. She has been dancing professionally and living in DFW for eight years.
