Obsessive Compulsions

This series uses cut paper, old book clippings, and plastics to examine the ways in which mental illness impacts an individual. Having struggled with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder from a young age, the shapes represent the patterned quality of anxiety for someone experiencing OCD; the darkness of the palette reflects on the loneliness and confusion of OCD episodes; the additional materials in each piece represent a specific angle by which OCD has impacted me.
